RENT A DESK SPACE IN THE FATT PROJECTS OFFICE

Hiya babs, we have a desk space available to rent in the Fatt Projects office in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.  This would be your own dedicated desk space/work area in a shared office space with 5 other queer artists/researchers/creatives.

Our office space is multi-purpose and used by the team for lots of different reasons including writing, reading, making props, costume making, digital editing etc, occasional meetings, and storage space for Fatt Projects events and shows.

This desk-space would be best suited to a freelance creative or remote worker whose work is computer or desk based (eg. writing, research, graphic design, producing etc.). It would not be suitable for someone looking for a space to make physical objects (eg costume, craft, jewellery etc.).

The space is available at £100 per month, paid monthly by direct debit - there is also a one off payment of £20 at the start of your tenancy to cover the costs of getting a new key to the building made.  We will ask for a minimum four-month rental commitment, after which contracts will move onto a monthly rolling basis.

Desk rental cost includes:

  • your own dedicated workspace in the Fatt Projects office, including desk and chair.

  • all costs of bills for electricity, heating, water, and wifi.

  • 24 hour access to the building and office space, including your own key to the building.

  • Use of shared fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. and small communal seating area.

Desk space is available from 1st Feb 2024. As this is a shared workspace, we’ll ask anyone interested in renting to come in for a quick chat, to look around, and to meet some of the other office users. Fatt Projects is a queer organisation developing queer performance with artists and local LGBTQ+ communities, therefore we will give priority to LGBTQ+ identifying individuals.

To arrange to come and see the space or if you have any questions please send an email to Adam on hello@fattprojects.org
