EHRC-U-NEXT-TUESDAY!
ALLIES IN BRUM, we need your help!
Are you fed up with the way trans people are being treated by our government?
The EHRC is trying to introduce guidance which would make it lawful to segregate trans people by banning them from facilities like men’s and women’s toilets. They are currently doing a public consultation on this, and there’s only three weeks left to submit your response consultation, which closes on 30th June. Of course, it’s a super dense and miserable online form - so we’re coming together to support each other to fill it in.
If you’re feeling scared, angry or confused but you want to help, you are not alone.
Join us on two Tuesday evenings in June to show up for your local trans community, find out more about the consultation, and fill out responses together.
We’ll bring treats, crafts and resources, you bring creativity, rage and an electronic device to complete the form on. See you next Tuesday(s) babs!
These are free DIY mutual support events run by volunteers, sharing resources from Trans Actual, and other organisations and individuals organising for trans rights in the UK.
